Peas On It Is French
(Petits Pois A La Francaise)
Succulent and flavorful, Petits Pais a la Francaise are time-consuming to prepare by the classic method. This short-cut version will have more appeal for Americans.

What You Need:
  • 3 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 cups tiny fresh peas or 1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 3 large lettuce leaves, shredded
  • How To Cook:
    1. Heat peanut oil in a skillet.

    2. Add peas, onion, salt and pepper; cover and cook over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes.

    3. Add lettuce.

    To Serve: 3 to 4
