Vietnamese Beef Soup
What You Need:
  • ˝ cup of Chicken Stock or use canned
  • ˝ cup of Beef Stock or use canned
  • 1-2 pinch of sugar
  • Some ground allspice
  • Raw beef
  • Fresh coriander leaves to taste
  • How To Cook:
    1. Heat a pot of stock, half Chicken Stock and half Beef Stock or use canned. Allow at least 1 cup of stock for each person.

    2. When the stock is boiling, add a pinch or 2 of sugar and some ground allspice (very little). Add a thin slice of raw beef for each person and cook for just a few seconds so that the beef remains very tender and not overcooked.

    3. Garnish the soup with fresh coriander leaves. Often cooked noodles and sliced yellow onion are served on the side. Each person can add either or both to his or her soup bowl.
