Once these fungi were found in forests, but today cultivated mushrooms may be purchased in our stores. Serve as a first course or as an accompaniment for poultry or beef.

What You Need:

  • ˝ pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1/3 cup salad oil
  • 1 tablespoon wine vinegar
  • ˝ teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

  • How To Cook:
    1. Put lettuce in a salad bowl.

    2. Add mushrooms and oil; toss lightly.

    3. Add remaining ingredients; toss.
