Yorkshire Salad
This salad is unusual because it is possibly the only one that is served with a molasses-flavored dressing. Yorkshire dishes are hearty and imaginative, and many of them include a rich, dark molasses.

What You Need:
  • 2 small heads leafy lettuce, washed, dried, torn into bite-size pieces, and chilled
  • ˝ cup sliced scallions, with some tops
  • About 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons molasses
  • Salt, pepper to taste

  • How To Cook:
    1. Combine lettuce and scallions in a salad bowl.

    2. Combine vinegar, molasses, salt, and pepper; pour over salad; toss.

    3. Serve at once.

    To Serve: 4
