Cracked Conch
What You Need:
  • 4 conchs
  • 1 cup flour, seasoned with salt, pepper, thyme and 1 teaspoon baking powder OR cracker crumbs OR bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • ˝ cup milk
  • Oil for frying
  • Lime slices for garnish

  • How To Cook:
    1. Tenderize conchs with a hammer until sinews are shredded and conch is double in size.

    2. Dredge each piece in seasoned flour.

    3. Combine eggs and milk.

    4. Dip conchs into milk mixture and dredge again in flour.

    5. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.

    6. Serve with lime slices and hot sauce, if desired.
