Whitebait And Breadcrumb Fritters
What You Need:
  • 4 - 6 oz whitebait
  • 2 eggs
  • ˝ teaspoon salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 large tablespoons fine, soft white breadcrumbs
  • Butter for frying

  • How To Cook:
    1. Wash the whitebait and dry in a cloth.

    2. Beat the eggs, add the other ingredients and blend well. Heat a knob of butter in a frying pan.

    3. Drop tablespoons of the mixture into the fat, and fry on both sides.

    4. Serve hot with lemon slices

    To Serve: 4 - 6
