Welsh Buns
(Buns Cymreig)
What You Need:
  • ˝ pound butter
  • 6 oz sugar
  • 1 pound flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ˝ pound sultanas or currants

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cream butter with sugar.

    2. Then add the yolks of well-beaten eggs mix thoroughly and beat in gradually flour.

    3. Add sultanas or currants and finally add the egg whites, beaten to a stiff froth.

    4. Beat all vigorously for 20 - 30 minutes, shape into buns about the size of an egg, or pour the mixture in a greased tin and bake in a slow oven (320°F) for 2˝ - 3 hours, till lightly browned.
