Walnut Noodle Pudding
What You Need:
  • ˝ pound dried noodles (or 1 pound freshly made)
  • 6 oz coarsely ground walnuts
  • 3 oz butter
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 3 oz damson jam
  • Salt

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cook noodles in plenty of boiling salted water, drain well, and then shake in a bowl, with 2 oz. of melted butter.

    2. Mix coarsely ground walnuts with sugar, add to the noodles.

    3. Butter a deep fireproof dish, put in half of the noodles, add a good thick layer of damson jam then cover with the other half of the noodles.

    4. Bake in a moderately hot oven (400°F) for 20 minutes.

    5. Serve in the casserole, first loosening sides with a knife or spatula.
