What You Need:
(To Serve: 4 to 6)

1 pound pork cut in ½-inch cubes
½ pound pork sausage links, cut in half
½ cup chopped onion
2 medium cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chopped tomato
2 cans (11½ ounces each) condensed bean with bacon soup
½ soup can water
¼ cup Chablis or other dry white wine
1 medium bay leaf

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Brown pork and sausage in skillet.
|
2. Add onion and garlic; cook until tender.
|
3. Pour off fat; add remaining ingredients to skillet; mix well.
|
4. Poor into 2-quart casserole; bake in preheated 375° oven 1 hour, or until done.
|
5. Remove bay leaf and serve.

NOTE:

There are many ways to prepare "cassoulet". You can use lamb or even pieces of duck or goose, as they do in southeastern France.
