	| 2½ cups honey
		A pinch of powdered cloves
		2½ cups sour cream or milk
		A pinch of crushed aniseed
		A pinch of salt
		7 oz sugar
		A little nutmeg
		Juice and grated peel of 1 lemon
		1 tablespoon bicarbonate soda
		1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

											| How To Cook: |

											|  |  | 1. Pour the honey into a basin and mix in the cream or milk, salt, sugar, lemon and spices. 
 
 |  | 2. Sieve in the bicarbonate and enough flour to make firm dough. 
 
 |  | 3. Form this into three slabs, put into a buttered tin and bake for ¾ hour in a moderate oven (350°F). 
 
 |  | 4. When done, brush over with diluted honey.
