What You Need:

  • 6 oz butter
  • 6 oz sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ pint sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
  • 2 oz yeast
  • 1/8 pint warm milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 22 oz flour (approx.)

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cream butter and sugar, add beaten eggs, sour cream, lemon rind, yeast dissolved in the warm milk, then the sifted flour and salt to make a dough.

    2. Turn out on a floured board and knead till soft and smooth.

    3. Place in a bowl, dust with flour and cover with a towel.

    4. Let rise overnight in a place free from draughts.
