How To Cook: |

1. Mix together 2½ cups or sugar and 3 cups of water and boil to syrup stage; add lemon juice and set aside to cool.

2. Beat eggs with sugar until sugar dissolves.

3. Add yoghourt, flour sifted with baking powder and the fruit rind to the egg mixture and beat until smooth.

4. Pour into greased baking pan and bake in a moderately hot oven (400°F) for ½ hour.

5. Remove pastry from oven and cut into desired shapes while still in pan.
|
6. Immediately pour syrup over hot pastry. Cover pan and set aside until all syrup has been absorbed.

7. Then transfer to dish and chill. Serve with whipped cream.
