What You Need:

  • 2 oz butter
  • 6 oz light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3 well-mashed bananas
  • 8 oz flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (omit if self-raising flour is used)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cream the butter and sugar, beat in the egg.

    2. Then add the soda, dissolved in the milk, the bananas and finally the flour, baking powder and cinnamon sieved together.

    3. Put in a greased tin and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 45 minutes.
