What You Need:            (To Serve: 2 - 4)

  • 1 raw chicken, cut into 6 pieces
  • ½ teaspoon saffron
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 small onions cut up coarsely
  • 5 oz butter
  • 7 tablespoons chick peas
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons raisins

  • How To Cook:
    1. Put all, except the sliced onion and the raisins, into a pot with almost 1 quart water and boil for 1 hour.

    2. Add the sliced onion and raisins and continue to cook until the chicken is tender.

    3. Serve the whole in a deep dish.
