What You Need:            (To Serve: 4 - 6)

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tin whole corn
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tablespoons bread, soaked in milk and squeezed
  • Salt and pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Melted butter

  • How To Cook:
    1. Prepare the chicken.

    2. Saute the chopped onions in the butter, add the chopped green pepper and corn and cook for a few minutes.

    3. Stir in the eggs and bread and season with salt, pepper and grated nutmeg.

    4. Fill the chicken with this mixture and sew up the opening; tie up the legs and spread with melted butter.

    5. Cook in a moderate oven (350°F) for about 1½ hours.

    6. Serve with a green salad.
