What You Need:            (To Serve: 2)

  • 4 eggs
  • A little butter
  • A little chopped chervil and parsley
  • French mustard
  • A few shelled prawns
  • ½ pint cream
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 oz grated Gruyere cheese and a little butter for topping

  • How To Cook:
    1. Boil the eggs for 6 - 7 minutes, put them in cold water for 1 - 2 minutes, then shell and slice them into a saucepan.

    2. Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well and pour into a greased fireproof dish.

    3. Sprinkle with the cheese, dot with a little butter, put into a hot oven (450°F) and cook till the top browns.

    4. Garnish with prawns and sliced hard-boiled egg, or as desired.
