What You Need:            (To Serve: 2 - 4)

  • 1½ pound carrots
  • 1½ oz sugar
  • 1½ oz butter
  • ¼ pint water
  • Eggs

  • How To Cook:
    1. Clean carrots and cut them in long, thin slices.

    2. Melt sugar and heat until brown, then mix with butter.

    3. Add the carrots and stir well, gradually adding water, then cook until the carrots are tender. (Alternatively, the carrots may be boiled first, and then browned.)

    4. Garnish with hard-boiled eggs, cut into quarters.
