Chocolate Brownies
What You Need:
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • ˝ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ˝ cup all-purpose flour
  • ˝ teaspoon baking powder
  • ˝ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

  • How To Cook:
    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Melt the chocolate in a small heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, but do not let it come to a boil. Set it aside to cool slightly.

    2. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar together by beating them with a large spoon until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then the cooled chocolate.

    3. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together into the mixture, and beat for 10 or 15 seconds, or until the ingredients are well combined. Stir in the vanilla and walnuts. Lightly butter an 8-inch-square baking pan.

    4. Pour in the batter and bake the brownies in the center of the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a small knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes, then cut into 2-inch squares.
