Yoghurt With Mint, Onion And Hot Chili
(Pudine Ka Rayta)
What You Need:
  • 3 tablespoons finely cut fresh mint
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped onions
  • ˝ teaspoon finely chopped fresh hot red or green chili
  • ˝ teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground hot red pepper
  • 1 cup unflavored yoghurt

    How To Cook:
    1. In a small serving bowl, combine the mint, onions, chili, salt and red pepper. When they are thoroughly blended, stir in the yoghurt.

    2. Taste for seasoning, cover tightly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until completely chilled.

    3. Before serving, decorate the rayta, if you like, with fresh whole mint leaves.

    To Serve: 3 to 4
