Tomato Sauce
(Saltsa Domates)
What You Need:
  • 4 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups tomato puree or sauce
  • 3 tablespoons dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves

  • How To Cook:
    1. Saute onion in oil until soft.

    2. Add remaining ingredients in order listed and heat to boiling point.

    3. Simmer 15 minutes.

    4. Serve with any meat, poultry, or fish that has been broiled, fried, or barbecued, or over pasta.

    To Make: 1 cup
