Creamed Green Beans & Mushrooms
What You Need:
  • 1 pound fresh whole green beans cut diagonally in half
  • 3 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (about ½ pound)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 can (10¾ ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2/3 cup light cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup sliced almonds (for garnish)
  • How To Cook:
    1. Cook beans in boiling water 15 minutes, or until tender; drain.

    2. Brown mushrooms in butter in a saucepan.

    3. Add soup, cream, lemon juice and beans; heat, stirring occasionally.

    4. Garnish with almonds.

    To Serve: 4
