Marjoram Tokany
What You Need:
  • 1 beef arm or round steak, cut ½ inch thick
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon marjoram
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups hot cooked noodles (optional)
  • How To Cook:
    1. Cut beef into ¾ by 4-inch strips; set aside. Cook bacon until crisp; remove bacon and pour off drippings.

    2. Measure back ¼ cup drippings; brown onions lightly in drippings. Add beef; cook slowly until golden.

    3. Season with salt and marjoram. Add water; cover tightly and cook slowly 1 hour, or until tender. Add bacon.

    4. Stir in sour cream; cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Serve hot over noodles if desired.

    To Serve: 4 to 6
