Steak Diane
What You Need:
  • 4 loin or top round beef steaks, each weighing 6 ounces
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • 2 teaspoons corn oil
  • 4 teaspoons original Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons chopped parsley
  • 4 teaspoons chopped chives

  • How To Cook:
    1. Sprinkle steaks lightly with salt on each side.

    2. Heat 2 teaspoons butter and oil in skillet; brown steaks quickly on both sides.

    3. Reduce heat to moderate; cook until steaks are rare.

    4. Remove steaks to heated serving plates; pour off any remaining fat in skillet.

    5. Add ¼ cup butter and remaining ingredients; heat until butter melts and browned particles are loosened from pan.

    6. Pour sauce over steaks; serve at once.

    To Serve: 4
