Raw Fish With Seaweed
(Aku Poke)
What You Need:
  • 1 pound raw fish (tuna or salmon), cubed, skinless and boneless
  • 1 teaspoon Hawaiian or kosher salt
  • 1 cup seaweed (hijiki in Japanese markets)
  • 1 small red chili pepper, seeded and chopped, or a shot of hot pepper oil or Tabasco to taste

  • How To Cook:
    1. The seaweed will be dried, so soak it for 30 minutes in warm 105°F water. Then drain and rinse well.

    2. Mix all of the ingredients and allow the dish to chill a few hours before serving.

    To Serve: 6 - 8
