Pigeon Pie
What You Need:
  • 3 pigeons cut into pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • Diced ham
  • 2 cups chicken broth

    PIE CRUST
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 oz butter, margarine or shortening
  • 2-3 tablespoons cold water
  • Pinch of salt

  • How To Cook:
    1. Season pigeons with salt and pepper and fry in oil. Add diced ham and stock.

    2. Place in a deep pie dish and cover with crust.

    3. Bake in 350°F oven 30 minutes or till crust is lightly browned.

    PIE CRUST:
    1. Sift together flour and salt.

    2. Mix fat into flour by using 2 knives and "cutting" in the fat till it is pea-sized and coated with flour.

    3. Sprinkle water over flour using a minimum amount to moisten mixture. Shape mixture into a mound and roll out.

    4. Cut to fit dish.

    To Make: 1 pie
