Egg Bread
What You Need:
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 package yeast
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • How To Cook:
    1. Soak yeast in warm water for 5 minutes. Sift flour, salt and sugar together.

    2. Add 1˝ cups of flour to the yeast and beat. Cover and allow rising about 30 minutes.

    3. Add the 2 eggs and remaining flour and oil to dough. Knead. Place in a bowl to rise for 2 hours.

    4. Knead dough again. Divide into 3 strands and braid, turning ends under. Place on a greased sheet and let rise for 1 hour.

    5. Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush the top with egg yolk. Bake for 10 15 minutes.

    6. Reduce oven to 350°F and bake 30 minutes. Bread should be golden drown on top.
