| 1. Have ready 2 wetted bowls.

| 2. Boil the sugar, milk and coconut together for 15 minutes. 
 
 | 
| 3. Divide into 2 bowls and then color one half with cochineal. 
 
 | 
| 4. Beat both mixtures with a wooden spoon until quite thick. 
 
 | 
| 5. Pour the white mixture on a flat dish and spread the pink over it. 
 
 | 
| 6. Cut into squares before it is quite stiff.
