| 1. Boil and mash potatoes and peel and slice apples.

| 2. Rub dripping into of flour, and then mix this with the potato to form dough.

| 3. Roll out to ˝ inch thick.

| 4. Line a greased pie dish with some of the dough and cover with a layer of apple; repeat these layers alternately, finishing with pastry.

| 5. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 1 hour.
