1. Remove the ham from the can, remove the gelatin coating, and place in an open cooking dish.
2. Mix the brown sugar and wine. Pour over the ham.
3. Cook the ham, basting frequently with the sugar-wine mixture, until the mixture is very thick and the ham stays well-coated. (This takes 12 to 15 minutes.)
4. Do not allow the sugar-wine mixture to burn in the bottom of the dish.
