What You Need:            (To Make: about 1 cup)

  • 4 large cloves garlic
  • 1 egg yolk at room temperature
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • How To Cook:
    1. Crush garlic to a fine paste.

    2. Place egg yolk in a small bowl; beat with fork until thick.

    3. Gradually add oil, drop by drop, beating after each addition to incorporate ingredients; continue beating and adding olive oil until sauce resembles thick mayonnaise.

    4. Flavor with garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
