What You Need:            (To Serve: 4)

  • 1 pint oysters
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1½ teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • Few drops Tabasco sauce
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • Crisp lettuce leaves, washed and dried

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cook oysters in their liquor and the butter until edges begin to curl.

    2. Cool; cut into bite-size pieces; chill.

    3. Combine remaining ingredients, except lettuce leaves, and chill.

    4. Serve oysters on lettuce leaves, topped with the mayonnaise dressing.
