What You Need:            (To Serve: 4 - 6)

  • 2 pound ripe dates
  • 3 oz nuts
  • ¼ pound flour
  • 2 oz butter

  • How To Cook:
    1. Stone the dates and mix thoroughly with the flour and nuts in a thick pan.

    2. Pour over the melted butter and leave on a low heat until all the butter is absorbed.

    3. Turn the cake over and brown on the other side.

    4. Continue to turn from time to time until both sides are nicely browned.

    5. Serve hot with cream or custard.
