  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 1 cup farina
  • 1/8 cup pine kernels
  • Cinnamon

  • How To Cook:
    1. Mix together sugar, milk and water, then boil to syrup stage. Allow to cool.

    2. Melt butter in heavy saucepan, add farina and whole pine nuts; saute over low flame until nuts turn light brown.

    3. Then pour cooled syrup gradually over hot farina and nut mixture, stirring until well mixed.

    4. Cover and cook until syrup are entirely absorbed, stirring frequently to keep farina from becoming lumpy.

    5. Remove from fire, wrap saucepan lid in dish towel, and replace on pan to draw excess moisture.

    6. Let stand hour, then stir well, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve.
