¼ pound mutton
½ pint lentils
½ oz almonds
Saffron
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cardamoms
1 inch cinnamon
A few prunes
A few raisins
¼ pint vinegar
3 lemons
1 pound sugar
¼ pound onions
1 pound ghee or butter
6 eggs

How To Cook: |
|
|
1. Cook lentils, mutton and spices together in enough water to cover.
|
2. When cooked, pound lentils and meat together and add an egg.
|
3. Boil and chop the other eggs, adding fruit and sliced almonds.
|
4. Mix ingredients together, form into balls and fry in hot fat.
|
5. Remove, fry the onions in the fat, pour in It pints water, the vinegar, lemon juice and sugar.
|
6. Return mutton balls to liquid and serve hot.
