  • 2½ cups canned condensed beef broth
  • Apples
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 12 pork sausages
  • Dill
  • Water

  • How To Cook:
    1. Melt one piece of the fat in a large frying pan, and then remove it.

    2. Sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper and brown well on both sides in the fat.

    3. Now add ¼ cup water, cover and simmer till the chops are well done (about 1 hour), turning often.

    4. Meanwhile, peel potatoes and apples and cut into 1-inch cubes.

    5. Heat canned condensed beef broth (undiluted) in a large saucepan; add the potatoes, apples, chopped onions, salt and pepper.

    6. Cover and simmer for ½ hour, stirring often.

    7. Meanwhile, put pork sausages and ¼ cup cold water in a large pan and simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.

    8. Drain off water, then let the sausages cook till well browned.

    9. Heap the potato mixture in the center of a heated large platter; arrange the meat and sausages on it and garnish with fresh dill (if available).
