  • Herring
  • Vinegar
  • Sugar
  • Pepper
  • Onion

  • How To Cook:
    1. Soak some salted herrings for 8 hours in plenty of fresh water.

    2. A couple of hours before they are to be used, skin, clean, cut into fillets, and lay them in a marinade of vinegar, sugar, pepper and plenty of onions.

    3. Just before serving, remove the fillets from the marinade and place them on a platter, letting them overlap one another.

    4. Garnish with onion rings.
