Foo Foo
This is a well known African dumpling made with starchy foods such as green bananas, plantains and sometimes mixed with cornmeal and seasoned.

What You Need:
  • 5 green unpeeled bananas or plantains
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Water as needed

  • How To Cook:
    1. Boil bananas, peel, and then pound in a mortar.

    2. When fruit forms a paste, season with salt and pepper.

    3. Mould into balls and reheat in the oven, or drop into boiling water to reheat.
