Tongue And Beef Sausages

What You Need:
  • 2 ladles tongue, cut into pieces
  • 2 ladles fat beef
  • 1 teaspoon powdered black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon powdered ginger
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper
  • ˝ ladle chopped red onions
  • 1 sheep's intestine, cleaned and washed
  • ˝ ladle butter

  • How To Cook:
    1. Chop the raw tongue and meat into very small pieces and mix with the black pepper, ginger, salt, red pepper and onions.

    2. Tie one end of the intestine with thread and fill with the meat mixture.

    3. Cut it into 6-8 inch lengths and tie both ends of each piece with thread.

    4. Heat the butter in a frying pan and cook the stuffed pieces over a low heat for a long time.

    NOTE:
        A "ladle" equals 10 tablespoons; 1 tablespoon equals 3 teaspoons in the Ethiopian kitchen.
     
    To Serve: 2 - 4
