Stir "N" Stir Pastry
What You Need:
  • ½ pound vegetable fat
  • 1 level teaspoon salt
  • 2 oz butter
  • ¾ gill cold water
  • 12 oz flour

  • How To Cook:
    1. Cream the vegetable fat and the butter thoroughly.

    2. Gradually add the sieved flour and salt, creaming well after each addition.

    3. Add the water, and mix thoroughly.

    4. The mixture will be sticky at first and will be rather difficult to stir.

    5. When rolling out this pastry, use plenty of flour on the board.

    6. The dough can be kept in the refrigerator for 10 days at least.

    7. After storing it in this way, allow it to stand at room temperature to soften before rolling out.
