Pork And Onion Casserole
(Pork And Onion Djuvetch)
What You Need:
  • 1 pound onions
  • 1 pound pork cut up small
  • tablespoons lard
  • 2 - 3 potatoes
  • Parsley
  • Seasoning
  • 6 - 7 green peppers
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 chili (optional)
  • ˝ pound tomatoes

  • How To Cook:
    1. Slice the onions and put them in a pan with the lard and some parsley; add the peppers and the chili, if used.

    2. When these are partly cooked, add the pork and the potatoes and season to taste.

    3. Simmer for a while, and then add the rice and the sliced tomatoes stir well and put in a casserole.

    4. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 1˝ hours.

    To Serve: 4
